Smallest devices that 100% run Windows 10?
Assuming the hardware is powerful enough to run the software.
For example... Will Windows 10 smartphones and tablets work normally with Macrium Reflect? Maybe that can be researched, but just in case anybody knows. I suppose hardware drivers become a concern with some software. Yes, of course a laptop can function as a PC. Not talking about laptops. Thanks. |

Thanks. The tablets run normal Windows 10. For example I bought a 9" one of these years ago when they were being sold off new: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-Sat.../dp/B00UBM6SNA I actually use Macrium Reflect on it for backup images - usually with the keyboard attached but it works the same without it. Windows 10 phones are completely different and not "real" Windows. |

Windows 10 phones are completely different and not "real" Windows. In the small device category: 1) Intel Compute Stick (x86) and competitors. Compute Stick might have been discontinued. 2) Raspberry Pi (ARM) running Win10 IOT (no "screen"). NVidia Jetson Nano (ARM) (uses a big heatsink). 3) Atomic PI (RPi pricing, intel processor) https://www.notebookcheck.net/Atomic....419686.0.html Microsoft was making a version of a Win10 for ARM, with x86 (but not x64) interpreter for backward compatibility. But Intel stomped their feet and protested. https://www.zdnet.com/article/window...t-app-support/ "Install Windows 10 Pro and you can install standard Windows applications, with only one real limitation: even though it's a 64-bit version of Windows and the Snapdragon 835 is a 64-bit Kryo CPU, only 32-bit x86 applications are supported -- not 64-bit x64 code. " So in principle, an x86 version of Macrium could run on such a box. The only question for a Macrium situation, is how would an "emergency CD" boot in order to do a restore ? That would be tricky. Whereas (1) and (3), maybe if it supports USB boot, you could put your Macrium emergency boot WinPE material on a USB key. Paul |
