Default XP Internet & Dial Up Networking !!

Hi
At work I use XP Pro connected to the network with the following settings:

IP Address : 192.168.1.100
SubNet : 255.255.255.0
Gateway : 192.169.1.49
DNS : 192.168.1.10 (local win server)
208.67.222.222 (open DNS)

This works fine and causes no problems.

I use XP's Dial Up Networking to access clients remote sites.
I currently have around 150 dun profiles.

When I connect to a clients site I can access their systems via the web,
ftp and telnet..

HOWEVER I can't access the Internet...when connected to a remote site.

Is there any way to do this ? Have access to the client and the internet ??

Also anyone of an app or script that will show me the IP address of the
server at the client site.

To do this is XP I have to open the dialup connection status window,
click on Support and then I see the IP Address..

Any easier way to get this ?

Thanks for all your help !!

It sounds like your default gateway may end up pointing to your
client's site instead of your own gateway when your are connected to
a client. When you are connected to a client try bringing up a
command window and enter the command:
route print
....and see how your packets are being routed.

John

You need to uncheck the box in the DUN advanced tcp/ip properties
which says "Use default gateway on remote network".
