All videos do not play or just certain formats?

If this is a recent issue...it may be worth a try
to do a system restore to a time before it occurred,

Default sound without images in wmp

John an maudd,

I have encountered an identical problem with wmp11. click on any video
content file, that previously played flawlessly and it no longer plays the
video. The audio comes through no problem. When this first occurred there was
an error message about the sound card driver. I rolled back to wmp10 and
re-installed the sound card driver. Viola it worked for a day. Same problem
recurred and no just with WMP but all my play back options. Now here is the
confusing and interesting part. If I open the cyberlink director program I
can play the content. If while the cyberlink program is running, I open up
another .avi or .mpeg file and play it in wmp11. IT WORKS!. Video and audio.
This tells me that the wmp11 works but there is some missing componene that
opens and runs with the cybeerlink program but not the wmp11 progra. Anyone
who can figure this out is a genius.
