Default Calendar entries invisile.

I don't know how long Calendar has existed but I finally started using
it. IIUC I had to put every entry in as an all-day entry or it only told
me about it earlier the same day.

But a week or two ago, the entries once made disappeared and all that
was left was a borderless box that was whiter than the background. That
didn't seem bad because I could put the cursor over it and a box popped
up saying what it said.

But today, the white areas disappeared. I can still hold the cursor
over a day, and a box shows up with the text, but it takes a while. I
have to move the cursor slowly or it doesn't show up.

Any helpful suggestions?

I noticed this post (micky's) is missing on the aioe.org news server,
but shows up on the eternal-september.org news server.

Any idea why?

I also just noticed that my posts (Boris) show up on both aioe and
eternal-september (but micky's still only on eternal-september).

I'm using eternal-september. I'm a little disappointed to find that
it's not on aioe, but I guess beggars can't be choosers. Maybe I
should sign up and pay for aeiou instead.

Trying to fix this seemed like a waste of time so I dl'd VueMinder Lite.

It does a lot mroe thing anyhow, not that I'll use any of them. (I don't
synchronize. My first grade teacher pointed that out. )

As you know, eternal-september requires you sign up and get an ID and
password. It is free.

Aioe does not require you sign up, so there's no ID or password needed.
And, it's also free. All you have to do is set your newsreader to access
news.aioe.org.

But, you don't have to 'use' or post to aioe to have your posts appear on
the aioe server. Any news server that carries alt.comp,os.windows-10
should show all posts made to that newsgroup, regardless of which news
server the OP used to make the post.

that's great If I ever get out of version 1.9 of Agent -- all the other
version allow more than one server -- I'll sign up.

Aioe does not require you sign up,

Then I won't sign up. ;-)

so there's no ID or password needed.

Apparently it doesn't work this way in reverse. good to know.

BTW, I don't like the VueMaster calendar. Even though I always want the
options to be the same, I have to set them for each calendar entry. And
since he lets you see paid version options, it appears that even the
paid version doesn't do it differently. For now I'm taking the time to
make two or three changes in adddition to the text. The MS calendar
was simpler and worked just the way I wanted, until it stopped working.
Maybe some windows update will fix it.

All versions of Agent can be made to work with multiple servers. On the
older versions, you have to do a little more work, but it only takes a
minute or two to add a server and from then on it just works. There was
a time when I had 5 servers configured on Agent 1.93 and then 2.0.

When everything is working as it should, then of course it works that
way in reverse. Why would you assume that it doesn't?

Since AIOE doesn't use accounts and relies on filters
to remove unwanted content, all it would take is one
complaint to the admin there, to have your name or nym
or IP added to a list.

Post as somebody else and see if it works.
