Security patch

I have downloaded both patch for XP and neither one of
them work on my pc. The ia64 gives me the following error:
"xpsp1hfm.exe is not a valid win32 application". and the
x86 patch gives me message "Setup has detected that the
build version of the system installed does not match the
update you are applying to it. You can only install this
update only on Build 2600", and I have version 5.1 Build
2526.
can anybody help???

Beta Build 2526 is obsolete.....your license to use it expired the
day Build 2600 was released. There is no update support for
Build 2526. =20

You need to go out and purchase a "retail, full version" of
Windows XP and perform a "clean install".

Go to Windows Update...see if you can get critical updates there.

(and you don't have 64-bit; you'd know it if you did)
