i was wondering how to secure a wireless network so other
people cant connect to it

Default how to secure wireless network

Read the manual for your wireless access point or router. You can download the
manuals from the various manufacturers if you have not purchased on yet. You want to
learn how to set the network to use shared key and WEP - which will encrypt traffic
at various strengths depending on the capabilities of the equipment. Wep has some
weaknesses, but is a whole lot better than not using it. You may also be able to
control access to the network or internet by mac address filtering. --- Steve
