Default Windows7 Professional Upgrade to Ultimate

Within the next few days I am getting a new Lenovo Windows7 laptop
with Windows Professional on it. It I change the licence to a Windows
7 Ultimate licence key, will the laptop suddenly change into Windows 7
Ultimate and download or activate the extra software?

Thanks

I've got a feeling that would be too easy.
I think for off-line OEM activation you need three things:
A SLIC-enabled bios, a licence certificate in the bios and a valid
product key for the version of Win7.
If you just change the product key from Professional to Ultimate
the licence certificate will not match.

From what I read the only extras between Pro and Ultimate are the 35
language packs and BitLocker drive encryption.
Unless you need either of these it's not worth bothering about.
