Default Update files


Hi guys

In xp the updated files ended up in c:\windows\$... where they could
be deleted to save space.

Can't see the same sort of thing in 7, any info on this?

I'd sure like to know the answer to this also. Surely one of you gurus
knows the answer......

I think the updates initially go to to this folder:
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
but as it's only 40 M/b the files probably end up in the WinSxS folder.
I can't find any hard info about it.
