I am one of those. As a computer user, I
do as most people do, I use what I am comfortable with. There is way too
much of a learning curve to deal with and the effort it takes to replace
all of the software that people use , regardless of the fact that Linux
software is free, there is still the cost in man hours, system updates
for compatibility and so forth. Let's face it. Drivers are going to be a
big PITA to get for all of the hardware out there.

It's gotten a lot better in all those regards since I started using it.
Lexmark didn't work with my first install. So I bought an HP.

I hope this didn't sound like just some other guy bashing Ubuntu, I'm
really not.

Venting is good for the soul sometimes :-)

Good luck with your dreams though. I hope their worth the effort you put

I post more for amusement than anything else and if a few people
discover that they too can benefit from running Ubuntu, so much the better.

much that Ubuntu will do anything more than annoy all those computer users
who try it. I've used Linux based systems before and found them all to be
wanting. It may be that Ubuntu will work, but it has a lot more work ahead
to back any claims that it will take over any real numbers of Windows users.
