Default Backup Outlook Express on ME to use on XP

I will be loading a new computer with Windows XP soon. I now have Windows
Me and I'd like to know if there's some easy way to backup/copy all of my
Outlook Express folders/settings/phone book/contacts/messages/etc and, after
I load XP, just restore them to use with XP.

Is there a utility that can do this easily?

....

FAST says it migrates files and settings - it will not actually migrate the
application though, correct? I'd need to install the application again on
XP and then import the settings?

Thanks,
Walleye

....

If you will run WinXP setup right from Win9x, your OE settings will be
caught up... but I advice you setup WinXP to other disk or folder,
otherwise you will lost about 1G of disk space (in unnecessary old
Win9x depended files). If you will move OE data to other instance of
Windows don't forget about registry data (Accounts, Message Rules,
Signatures, Blocked senders lists) and other important data (Internet
Favorites, Signatures in files, Stationery, and so on.)

Try our ABF Outlook Express Backup (www.oebackup.com), it does
everything I've noted above.

Best regards.

Is there anything that the "FAST" can't transfer??? Other than the operating
system itself ;-)

Oh, and how big is an average transfer file? Does it fit on a single CD-R/RW
(650MB)?

It can transfer just about anything, since you can explicitly include files
that it would otherwise exclude. There's no "average" size, since the size
will depend on what you transfer and how many of them you have. I have, for
example, 4.6gb of movie and music files that FAST would transfer ... if I
were silly enough to let it. :-)

Thanks, Richard
Basically, what I'm asking is does it compress the transfer files any? (I'd
sure hope so, seeing that it can take an hour to finish the transfer
process!)
