Default Error opening My Computer Properties

Herb,

Are you running the original version of XP, or XP SP1 ?? Click Start, Run
and enter WINVER.EXE If it says Service Pack 1 in this dialog, then you're
running SP1. If not, then you aren't. After that, click Start, Run and
enter

%WINDIR%\System32

Locate the WINSTA.DLL file, right click on it and select Properties,
Version. For the original XP, this should be 5.1.2600. For SP1 it should
be 5.1.2600.1106

Next, go back to Start, Run and enter %WINDIR%\System32\dllcache

Repeat the above instructions for the WINSTA.DLL file in this folder.
Post back with the version of XP that you're running and the versions of the
2 copies of WINSTA.DLL

I get message "The Procedure entry point
RemoteAssistancePrepareSystemRestore could not be located
in the dynamic link library WINSTA.dll" when I try to
open the Properties for My Computer. I recently
reinstalled Win XP Pro to correct a different problem
