Default SP1a and Roaming Profiles

After I install Service Pack 1a for XP Pro, roaming
profiles are no longed deleted. I get UserEvn Event Id:
1524, "Windows cannot unload you Windows Classes file-it
is still in use by other applications or services. The
file will be unloaded when it is no longer in use." The
computer works as expected until SP1a is installed. The
only software install is the OS, with the regional
options enable for Japanese, German, Spanish and French.
The Microsoft support says not to worry about this, but
we are in the unusual situtation (large school district)
of having many different users a day on each computer and
not deleting the roaming profiles causes significant
problems. Has anyone found a work-around for this?

Jim
