Default Wireless connection with hp, xp, laptop

It's the network bridge that is creating the problem. You need to unbridge
the 1394 connection from the wireless.

I seem to be having trouble using a wireless client device
with my laptop..It's almost as if something is filtering
out all the signal from the access point. The device works
cause I can plug it into the desktop lan and it associates
with the access point, but when I plug it into the laptop,
it does not. The laptop has a 1394 connection along with a
local connection and a network bridge for it's network
settings, whatever that stuff is.....
