Outlook Express error with hotmail

I am getting a 'Precondition' error #0x800ccc3c whenever I
try to send mail from outlook express to hotmail. I have
another mail server that works fine. Also I can log on to
my hotmail account and send and receive messages OK. It
was working and I have this same condition on a Windows 95
and a Windows XP computer.
Any help would be appreciated.
