Default accessing win98 shared files from winXP Pro

Hello,

Even though I am certainly not an expert at this, your issue may be caused
by the different file systems - FAT32 and NTFS. The Win98 FAT32 will not
recoginize the NTFS files so it denies access.

Craig Hale,

Uh, that's only an issue on dual-boot PCs; if booted with W9x, then
the W9x OS and apps running under it cannot access files on a NTFS
filesystem on the same PC. But, in a network, one PC does not
directly access files on other PCs, so the filesystems used on those
other PCs do not matter to the first PC; i.e., a W9x PC with a FATxx
filesystem can access files on a XP PC even if that XP PC uses NTFS.
