Default access files on Win98 computer from WinXP Pro computer (repost)

It looks like yesterday afternoon's posts have
disappeared, so I am reposting this.

About half the computers in our office run Windows 98,
while the other half run Windows XP Pro. All of them and
the Windows 2000 server are members of a domain.

The Win98 computers can share files with each other using
Windows file sharing.
The WinXP computers can share files with each other using
Windows file sharing.
The Win98 and WinXP computers cannot share files with
each other using Windows file sharing.

My immediate goal is to be able to access files on a
Win98 computer from my WinXP computer. I can see the
workgroup for the Win98 computer and the computer itself,
but when I double-click the computer I want to access, I
get a message saying I don't have access rights to the
computer.

Is the problem that I'm not part of the Win98 computer's
workgroup? There doesn't seem to be a way to make a WinXP
computer be part of both a domain and a workgroup.

Your assistance is appreciated.

try this command: net use \\win98name /user:username from xp. you must have
correct permission setup on win98.
