The other poster is correct. Your best bet is to buy a router, unless your
modem is also a router. If your modem is a router all you need is a switch.
I have a router, and my modem is also a router. I disable the modems router
feature and the PPPoE logon feature and use the routers DHCP, PPPoE logon
features. I find that my speed is slightly faster with the router. I use a
Linksys BEFSR 41 Ver.2, but you can get almost any brand. Go to
www.dslreports.com and look in the forum section for your ISP and modem
brand. You will find all the info you need.
