The other poster is correct. Your best bet is to buy a router, unless your
modem is also a router. If your modem is a router all you need is a switch. I have a router, and my modem is also a router. I disable the modems router feature and the PPPoE logon feature and use the routers DHCP, PPPoE logon features. I find that my speed is slightly faster with the router. I use a Linksys BEFSR 41 Ver.2, but you can get almost any brand. Go to www.dslreports.com and look in the forum section for your ISP and modem brand.
