Default Internet connection crashes when client PC connects to Internet

I have a WINXP Pro as Host to Win 98SE on a Peer-to-Peer
connection.

Internet connection is on dialup.

The client PC used to connect to the Internet without any
problems.

A few days ago the new problem started - when the client
PC connects through the Host to the Internet then the
Internet connection drops after a few seconds (sometimes
minutes)and no surfing is possible on any PC.
On the Host PC in the "Network Connection" window the
Dialup connection is displayed as disconnected, however,
when I pick up the phone I hear the modem continuing
to "negotiate" with the web server.

The only way to close the modem is to Restart the Host PC
(the one with WIN XP).

No network or hardware conflicts are displayed at any any
time.

Assistance is highly appreciated

Thanks

Eyal
