Peer to peer network not logging in
I am attempting to connect 25 Windows 98 computers to a
single computer operating Windows XP Professional. Some of the programs I am operating require that I map the "server" computers to the XP hard drive, but unfortunately I seem unable to have more than 10 computers log on to the XP computer at a time. Is there a setting or something I can adjust to fix this problem? |

Is there a setting or something I can adjust to fix this problem? That's a documented and, unfortunately, un-changeable limit in Windows XP Professional: Inbound Connections Limit in Windows XP http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;314882 A server operating system (NT, 2000, Windows Server 2003) with sufficient licenses can allow more simultaneous connections from other computers. It's also possible that a Windows 98 "server" computer could do the job. -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
