Default How to run local login scripts

I'm trying to determine when/how local logon scripts run
on a PC joined to the domain. Are there any
registry/security settings that affect this? I have some
machines that are running the local logon scripts for a
domain logon and some that are not. I have not been able
to determine the difference between them.

Thanks!
