Default Windows 7 power saver

I used the rc for a while and had no issues but now that I have home premium
installed the power saver for my monitor does not work. It will not shut
down at all unless I turn it off any ideas?

Dunno. If this is not a Microsoft utility but one the vendor of your
monitor supplied, then contact them.
