Permissions
I'm trying to delete some files on one of my external drives and get the
message, "You need permissions from the computer administrator to make changes to this file". I've set myself up as an administrator, so how do I give myself permissions to get rid of these files? I went to the mirror and told me it's OK, but that didn't seem to work. :-) -- "To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." Click on your account in the top box and see if you have full control as shown in the lower box. If not, click on 'Edit...' , make sure you are highlighted in the top box and select 'Full control' OK your way out. You should be able to delete now. |
