Default Will Vista Drivers Work With Windows7

I'd like to install Windows 7, 64 bit edition on my desktop PC. The only
thing is, Intel isn't providing Win 7 specific chipset drivers for my
motherboard (D945GNT). They do however have the equivalent Vista 64
drivers. Would the Vista drovers work for Windows 7?

Thanks

Check with your PC manufacturer. My HP 64 worked fine with the Vista
drivers and HP already had upgrades. The upgraded drivers seemed to be
more responsive.

In preparation for my move from XP to Win 7 64 bit on my Dell Desktop I
went to the Dell download center and used my Dell Service tag to get the
necessary drivers for the Intel Chipset, audio controller and a couple
of other things. Installed Windows 7, then the drivers and all works fine.

They should work.

I've been fooling with Win 7

and have used an XP driver for my SCSI card

and a Vista driver for my sound card and all is well

I'd think twice before using an XP driver though ...but my machine has
just been setup for testing only
