Greetings --

If the problem started with your use of NetZero, have you
contacted their support personnel?

Greetings --

Outlook Express (OE)'s new default security settings are simply
trying to protect you. OE has no way of telling whether an attachment
actually contains a virus or not, so it temporarily blocks any of
those file types that could potentially contain a virus. In Outlook
Express, Tools Options Security, uncheck the "Do not allow
attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus"
option, assuming you trust the source, of course. The wiser course of
action, however, would be to modify your list of unsafe files, as
outlined in the KB articles below:

I have a new HP windows xp. It will not open sent or
recieved attachments. It says they may be unsafe. Talked
with Hewlitt Packard support and they say it is a Micro
Soft security thing. It seems that I am supposed to put
attachments in a folder , then have the anti virus system
scan the folder , and then they can be opened. The same
goes for anything I am sending out. VERY cumbersome to
say the least. Anyone else having this problem? Any
solutions? Any help , anyone can give me would be
appreciated. Thanks , Deanna
