Newsgroups
My ISP is 'plus net'
They're not free but worth every penny. www.plus.net "Oncler" wrote in message om... I realize that this is off topic but.... My ISP stopped carrying usenet....I have been using readfreenews, but it doesn't allow posting, and using Google is a pain. Is there a free server out there that allows reading and posting ?? Thanks-- |

no connection to newsgroups
All of the newsgroups on one of our WinXP computers have stopped working
with a failure to find the server. I have checked the firewall client, internet connection, email connection.... all work from that computer. I went to the Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs / Windows Components / and unchecked Outlook Express. After it finished, I went back and rechecked it watched it say it was loading files. Still, no connection to any servers. Again, on this WinXP computer, everything in newsgroups is fine. And I verified everything that is in this computer is in the other computer in the Outlook Express Accounts and Options windows and sub windows Any thoughts? -- David |
