Default Want to install XP Pro on system with forgotten password

Hi! I want to load Win XP Pro on to my notebook as a
replacement for the current 2000 Pro. The problem is
that I have forgotten the password for the 2000. It is a
personally owned ThinkPad 600X that I set-up myself as
the only one with admin privileges. The system presently
has a single hard disk partition. My Win XP Pro is
a "full package," rather than upgrade. Any suggestions
on how I can install XP on the notebook, or by-pass the
forgotten password would be greatly appreciated. many
thanks. Tom

Default Forgotten Password

Log on to another account that has Administrator privileges, go to Control
Panel, User Accounts. Select the account in question and click Change
Password. Make note of what the user will not be able to access
afterwards.

One of four users on this XP Pro machine has forgotten
her password. Short of deleting her account, is there a
way to get her pasword reset?
Thanks,
Bill
