Two days ago I had to unistall and reinstall a software
program that I had. For some odd reason it quit
operating. Now when I start up my computer this is what I
get on my desk top. Do I contact the manufacturer on this
matter or what?

Sounds like it is a program called Direct CD which I belive is made by
Roxio, (possibly other cd writing s/w also) earlier versions of this seemed
to conflict with XP's built in cd-rw feature. There should be a patch for
this from the manufacturer.

I cant say this is the problem but it may point you in the correct
direction.
