Outsiders accessing a personal C:\ Drive.
At work yesterday, I received an Email from another
employee stating that he and anyone else had access to the hard drive on my desktop. We use a network and have personal and common drives there, but I was not aware the my desktop could be accessed. Our network supervisor gave me directions to check a block for sharing that would prevent that. At work we have Windows 2000 but I have XP at home and don't know how to check to make sure that noone can get on my drive. Any help will be appreciated. Gary |

Gary Open Control Panel - Network connections. Right click on the icon for your connection, select Properties and go to the Advanced tab. Make sure the Firewall is activated. That will stop intruders from getting into your system via the Internet. Good luck Ron Martell Duncan B.C.
