You can easily find out what most of these ports are usually associated with
and then from there track down the app or service on your PC and decide
whether you need it. I notice that you have port 25 open. This is pretty
unusual for a home PC as this normally means that you have an SMTP mail
server running. Similarly 110 usually means that a POP server is running.
Neither of these are at all normal for a home PC. Looks like someone has
been doing some serious messing with your PC without your knowing about it.

If you are running an SMTP mail server without your knowledge then it seems
likely that your PC has been totally compromised. Take it off the net
immediately. Take it to someone that knows what they are doing and have it
cleansed. And then get a firewall.

Isn't SMTP one of the IIS functions in XP pro?

Yes, there is an SMTP server in IIS. I run Home not Pro and I just assumed
the original poster was running Home although he did not say. Maybe someone
can answer this: Does the default install of IIS on Pro also install and
turn on the SMTP server?
