Default XP and Norton

I had a simular problem and cured it by not letting
Norton scan my hard drives when i boot up. It seem to
take lots of time.

-----Original Message-----
I know this is a Norton question but the Symantec

newsgroups that I've
posted to don't seem to get read alot. Here's the

problem. On bootup, my
computer is taking at least 5 minutes before I can use

it. I've been through
the startup menu and I believe I've eliminated

everything that I can. When
there is the long pause, the next thing that the

computer does is load NAV
and Internet Security. So I'm thinking that is where the

problem lies, but I
can't be sure. I get an occasional message that CcApp

couldn't find this or
that. Norton's online help recognizes that this CcApp

has caused error
messages for some users, then states that CcApp is an

important file and
can't be removed. In other words...tough beans.

Has anyone had a similar problem with Norton that

they've been able to
decipher?
