Default Lost quick launch tool bar

My quick launch toolbar no longer is visible when I start
my rig. I can get it back by right-clicking the toolbar
and selecting it, but even if I lock the toolbar after
selecting it, it's gone when I start the rig again,
forcing me to do this each time I boot up. Any ideas?

Right-click Start button, then click on Properties, then click on the
Taskbar tab. Is "Show Quick Launch" checkmarked there ? If not, do so.
Apply and OK to close. Hope this keeps it always visible at next startup.

Yep, it's already checked- still no quick launch toolbar.

I had another idea but reading your original post knocked it out of
contention. I defer to the more expert on this...
