XP ICS
I have been running a hub/switch with 3 computers on XP,
server/client setup. I am trying to use a router and have independent access for each computer. I'm having trouble disabling Internet Connection Sharing on the host, preventing (I'm told by USR Tech Help)access to internet by any of my computers. Any suggestions or step-by-steps to follow? WinXP Help and Support only gives help to remove ICS on Win2000 (which seems to be a little different than WInXP. I have no trouble resetting the computers to use the hub/switch. |

XP ICS
David,
Your computer that you had set up with ICS is most likely still running DHCP and is giving IPs to your other computers which are not compatible with the configuration of your router. You can delete your current connection and create a new one, or correct the information for that connection to disable the services that you were using when you were using the computer as the ICS connection.
