Default Networking to Windows 95

I have just the same problem. I have tried linking them
together, I have tried connecting them both to a common
hub, I have tried everthing I can find within the Win95
setup. All to no avail. I would also be interested to know
how this can be done. The XP home edition says one has to
run the XP setup on the other computer and yet when one
tries it says it can be run!!
-----Original Message-----
I have recently purchased a laptop computer with Windows
XP Home edition on. I have a home computer with Windows
95 on. Both have network cards and I have purchased a
network cable to link the two. I have followed the
instructions for networking on the laptopn and have
created the network disc to install on the other computer
but I get a message saying that this doesn't work with
Win 95. Is it possible to link the two, if so how?
