Default Shared Files & Networking

I solved a similar problem yesterday by unistalling and
reinstalling the TCP/IP protocols under the LAN. It
solved my problem and is worth the try. I got this advice
from homenethelp.com . Thanks again to BRG for pointing
me in the right direction.

Okay I've got my basic home network setup. 3 computers
(will be 4 in a month) connected thru a D-Link DI-704P
Residential Gateway Router w/4-port Switch. We're all
happily sharing our cable modem and printer thru the

print
server on the router. However I cannot figure out how

to
enable a true network and file sharing. Each PC can

only
detect itself under the LAN icon on My Network Places.

I
get the feeling I'm over looking something very simple.

One PC has WinXPHome, another has WinXPPRo, and the

other
has Win98SE. Any advice?
.
