Can two XP computers share a broadband connection ?

I have my PC on a broadband phone line connection using a wireless modem.
This enables my wireless laptop to access the internet and receive security
updates just like the PC.
My partner has her PC on a broadband connection in her house.
We plan for her to move in with me.
If I fit her PC with a wireless card, will her PC work on my broadband
connection like my laptop does ?
Both PCs and laptop use XP SP3.
Is there anything else I'd need to do ?

I would expect both PC to work as you describe.

providers ship such equipment any more) than that should work. The new
computer wireless adapter, set for DHCP mode, should pull an IP address from
the modem/router unit.

If it doesn't work as expected, you can post back; I've some limited
experience with DSL and modems and routers.

Depending on the age of the computer, a PCI wireless card may not work if the
slots aren't PCI2 compliant. If it's less than 4-5yo should generally be OK.

The alternative is to use a USB wireless dongle, these will work on anything
with USB.
