Default File Structure Problem?

Tech Support from Acronis told me that a particular error I experienced
with their product was caused by "

"This happens due to an error in the file system structure that causes
the boot-time defrag engines in Diskeeper 2008 to terminate
immediately. "

Also, when I try to run Error Checking from XP, my PC freezes at boot
before I get to the Welcome screen.

Can someone tell me what this means and how to fix it? I've asked
Acronis but haven't received a reply in a week. Thank you.....
