Default Network printing from XP Pro SP2 to Windows 200 server

Problem:

Domain users print jobs are not complete. Any text on a page is
missing.can print without any problems. This problem appears with print
jobs from Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Wordpad, Notepad and the test page
from the control panel. It does not occur when printing from Adobe
acrobat reader. It also is not a problem with those computers which have
not installed service pack two and does not appear when printing to a
linux server running samba. I can generate a print file from within the
application and then use the net print command to print which works.
Domain admins have no problem printing.

Workstation configuration: Windows XP with service pack 2 running in a
domain.

Server: Windows 2000 server

Printer: Xerox Phaser 860 connecting to Windows server via LPD over ethernet
