I need a blogging software program that will allow publishing to the site
without the need for a username/password deal.

No, I am not signing up to wordpress. This is why I have my own domain.
Several that I have looked at all require you to have a username and
password to create a blog.

Blogdesk, when creating a new blog, insists that you signup for wordpress
before you can continue.

Bull****.

Is there any software out there that does not require a username and
password to publish?

I'd expect any serious software of this sort to require a username/
password, or what's to stop me posting any old rubbish under your name?

I could be wrong, of course, but I'd not trust any solution that didn't
make at least rudimentary security checks.

Blogdesk absolutely insists that you have an account with one of the
blogging domains they list. If you don't, you're **** out of luck.

[sarcasm] I think it's a conspiracy that the software writers are getting
kickbacks from these people. You list our site, we'll donate to your cause.

Of course, I could always do the work myself using a standard html editor.

you're wrong about wordpress I think. When you sign up here
https://en.wordpress.com/signup/ it lets you pick any unassigned domain
you want either at *.wordpress.com or *.net or *.me or *.com or *.org
for your blog. Anything other than *.wordpress.com invokes a small fee.
But since you already have your own domain WP can't assign one for you.
Too bad. and if you don't want authentication to post your blog, then
anyone on the web can post to it and deface your site at will. Lots of
luck with that! (mostly of the bad kind - just being a realist).

All I want to do is to use the software.
I am not signing up to any 3rd party account for nuthin.

You can't post to any website, blog or otherwise, without knowing the
username and password of that site. So what's the difference? The
difference is, my domain isn't one of those high profile blogging for
idiots sites.

Wow..

Okay,

#1: You don't "sign up" for Wordpress, its a package of php scripts you
install on your own server.

#2: You can allow anonymous posting on just about any blog/CMS scripting
package.

#3: You are in over your head, but just for kicks I'll recommend Joomla
for you. http://www.joomla.org/ - good luck.

Why should I pay them when I can do it for free?

#1 is wrong. You use their space on their server.

Wordpress comes in two varieties -- hosted by wordpress.com, or self-hosted.

For the self-hosted kind you buy it,

No, you don't.

The wordpress software is FSF/GPL, the self-hosted site names come with
a fee. They all do.

You can find it at wordpress.org (not .com).

Well you are wrong on the "buy it".
I found on my hosted site that I could get it for free.
All I did was click a couple of times, told it where to install and five
minutes later the blogware was on my site.

I stand corrected. It is free. I got it through my host's control panel.
Every bit of what I do with it is hosted on my site, not their's.

you are the most stupid person I have seen. All CMS packages are free
to download install and use them on your own server or at your hosts
using your own domain.

If you didn't know this basic stufff then clearly you need to go back to
your old job of cleaning my toilets.
