OT Need eMail
I need an eMail program that will provide rules for incoming eMails.
Specifically I need to detect the eMail by Subject match then copy all attachments to a folder. Needs to run on Win XP or Win 7 ... Now please do not suggest TBird or SeaMonkey! Yes, they both have add-ons that will do what I want BUT both TBird and SeaMonkey just are not ready for prime time since they are incredibaly slugish at multitasking. |

I downloaded the portable version of Sylpheed yesterday. It looks promising, but I haven't really given it a good run yet. http://sylpheed.sraoss.jp/en/ --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! And whoever is going to direct an answer to the problem should also read your additional input about the situation in the earlier thread in this group that starts he From: OldGuy Newsgroups: alt.comp.os.windows-8, alt.windows7.general, microsoft.public.windowsxp.general Subject: Recommended EMail Application Date: Sat, 15 Feb 2014 19:15:24 -0800 Message-ID: In your posts in that thread, there are some important parameters to what you are trying to do. -- Mike Easter |

In your posts in that thread, there are some important parameters to what you are trying to do. Are you referring to his penis size as important parameter? He was told that his brain size is as small as his penis so he is not likely to find the said post you are mentioning. You could give him these important parameters that only you know about. why are you guys not taking some positive steps to correct your deficiencies? There are extensions available for your problems and we can certainly help you guys. |

Outlook, as far as I am concerned, provides more rule capability than any other existing email client. And since version 2010, the ability to have a separate default folder structure for each email account (rather than dumping everything into one inbox for multiple email accounts) makes creating subfolders and rules even easier. The usual issue most have with Outlook, its not free. -- ...winston msft mvp consumer apps |

Are you aware that you can do that with Thunderbird? And isn't it true that MS no longer supports the Outlook email client? If so, it goes into that same security category as Win XP! |

You are apparently confusing OL with OE, which are completely different programs which are only similar in having the string outlook in the name, function as email clients, and are/were developed by MS. OE was the enormously popular free mail/news agent which is now unsupported. OL is a payware PIM part of MS Office currently at v. 2013. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Outlook -- Mike Easter |
