public site with over 1.6 million visits, Skype, Twitter and Facebook.
- similar results to Gmail for the Hotmail Junk Folder, but nothing to
the Inbox.

A few years ago I would agree that Gmail's were better, today I don't
see a difference (and I've 11 Outlook.com accounts). Now, if I include
a Yahoo Plus account, no comparison, Yahoo is the worst by a long
shot..it misses more than all my other web based email accounts
combined."

I've noticed that http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us requires folk to
'sign in' in order to make a post. It appears that the sign in page

If you have 11 accounts, how do you know which one to use when using
Microsoft Answers?

(long links broken deliberately)

So ...........

If one can 'sign in' to http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us with *ANY*
Outlook.com account/identity one chooses there is, surely, an
opportunity for the facility to be abused.

Think about it!

To sign answers I went Ms LiveID site and got a LiveId address.
I use that live.com address to sign in to answers and when I set it up I
had all email to go to my regular ISP address.
I frequently answer questions for Mac Office (Word, Excel) and am a MCC
(Microsoft Content creator (create excellent content answer many
questions, etc). And currently am a CM ( Community Moderator - crack the
whip when needed grin. Merge duplicate questions. Edit content when
need. Report when people use Private Info they should, report Spam and
report user profiles that spam to Moderator with more power than I. )

I meant to ask ...........

"If you have 11 accounts, how do you know which one to use when using
Microsoft Answers?"

I wonder why ...winston won't answer that simple query. Any idea Philip?

Tony Smith did something naughty ?

No, I don't post on forums. The reason being, I'd have
to maintain a set of accounts and passwords, and that's no fun.
The second reason, is the contents of web forums can be
deleted en-masse. It happened to Matrox video card forum.
It happened to the VIA forum (all the VIA driver info
was lost). Who wants to submit anything to a forum,
only to have it deleted. A waste of time.

Perhaps Tony Smith will "sock up" and become Jim Bean
and make a comeback ? Or the next day, "sock up" as Rue Paul ?
Once a day perhaps ? Forever ? Who ever heard of being upset
about a banning ? Another day, another ID. If that's what
turns your crank.

Where is the thrill though, in even being in a forum.
No one can see you there. USENET is where it's at.

Nntp server access is supported on the AnnexCafe and like Eternal
September a username/pw for access and subsequent authentication is
necessary but unlike ES it only carries its own (and moderated) groups.

Tony Smith did something naughty ?

From what I've seen he simply asked questions which folk didn't want to
answer. Here's one:-

Is 'ToniArts' still a valid venue?

http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts/ecleane.htm

I read ............

"All the text on the pages of this site is Copyright © 1999-2010, by
Pierre Szwarc (all rights reserved) unless otherwise stated. All
mentioned trade marks are owned by their respective companies. No
infringement intended."

Has Pierre been too busy to keep his site up to date?

http://pierre.szwarc.free.fr/en/ln.php

Just wondering!

Andrew Taylor (the group moderator) replied:-

The last copyright date is 2004;

Pages by Toni Helenius, ToniArts 2004.

I am thinking it might have been a school or college project. He was

21 then
and is now 31. I also read this;

I don't play much with my computer, I don't know why, but it just hasn't
catched me...

Why do you have interest in that site?

Tony Smith replied:-

It's one of a number of facilities promoted by Pierre Szwarc on his now
out-of-date web site http://pierre.szwarc.free.fr/en/ln.php

Have *YOU* ever explored there?

I found it fascinating when first I went there, but wonder WHY nothing
has changed for years - yet someone must be paying to keep the site on-line.

As I'm sure you are aware, Pierre has avoided the question. Message-ID:

Dustin J Cook, (aka RAID) writer of the Irok virus,
http://www.f-secure.com/v-descs/irok.shtml
once explained that such action, once someone has been banned from a
forum, is illegal computer trespass (and must not be done!). Do you
agree, Paul?

Where is the thrill though, in even being in a forum.

I like Usenet too! :-)

Anyway, hazard a guess as to WHY '...winston' (The Moderator of the
principal Annexcafe User2User group) needs eleven (11) separate
"Outlook.com" accounts with Microsoft.

Could some of those MVPs at Microsoft Answers be abusing their position?

Imagine somebody who owns something you don't
absolutely need, won't work with you.

You're free to ignore them.

Once you ignore them, it hardly matters whether they abuse their
position or not. It becomes... irrelevant.

Maybe that guy who cleans the sewer pipes for city hall, is
abusing his position and taking the extra poo home with him.
I don't plan on climbing down the pipe to find out :-) It's
a situation where I can safely ignore what happens in that pipe :-)
A web forum is like a sewer pipe. What does on in there is
smelly, and should be ignored.

An interesting answer for which I thank you, Paul! :-)

Robear Dyer (aka PA Bear) is a *LIAR*. I also don't think he is a REAL
person at all. Just an observation. Btw, BD doesn't like bad guys! ;-)

You are falling into ~BD~'s trap. He will make absurd assertions,
presented in the form of a question, simply to agitate and stir the
pot.

Next, after you engage him just a little, he will start asking you
personal questions. If he is able to identify you and or find out a
modicum of personal information about you, he will begin stalking you.

He has delusions about being some kind of a do-gooder, almost a Usenet
/ Internet cop. One of his favorite "escape clauses", and I
paraphrase, is: " If you have done nothing wrong, you have nothing to
fear from me." If I am not mistaken, the Stasi, the secret police of
the German Democratic Republic (East Germany) had a similar motto.

Do what you wish, but my opinion is ~BD~ should be avoided like a
Troll who is infected with Ebola hemorrhagic fever. Again, this is
simply my humble opinion.

I like to understand what make stalkers tick.

Some are rather obvious.

And some are not.

I've noticed in uk.*, there are more than a few of these people.
And in a discussion in the control group over there, even the regulars
seemed to relish certain aspects of it, such as socking up. While I
don't use my real name on USENET, I've tried to maintain a consistent
From: line in my posts. I use two USENET servers, so when one is down
(crashed), I can still post stuff.

One thing the uk.* people like to use, is their local police.
For example, it's popular to try to involve the police in any
little spat or argument you might have. When I watch people
in other countries here, what happens here is like "water off
a ducks back". Whereas a Brit can hold a grudge forever.

They claim to have a class-less society now, but the
evidence suggests they're still "looking over their shoulder",
where a slight on USENET can be interpreted/conflated with
"you're lower class material, not suitable to polish my boots".
Now in the ~BD~ case, I just don't know what to make of it.
Makes no sense. Like he was "stamp collecting" and stalking
was a hobby or something.

And yes, I'm familiar with the "~BD~ algorithm". He's been
doing this for a while.

Yes, he has, since somewhere around 2006. He constantly stalks MVPs, Aumha
groups, Annexcafe groups, Dogagent, and many individuals. A lot of those
persons are associated with the many web forums he has been booted and
banned from (which is about every one he ever joined).

Early on (2006?) before I knew who he really was, he caught me by asking
for an evaluation of Dogagent (might be gone now). I thought he meant
about the composition of the HTML code, and told him it was shabby. He
then turned that into a *reference* to poke slime and innuendo at whoever
it was that owned it.

IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
