aol or aim messenger problem
Greetings Terri,
Assuming she's using the older but more widespread AIM 5.x versions, after it loads open it up, click the My AIM, menu, Edit Options, and then Edit Preferences. Click the Sign On/Off category, and then uncheck 'Start AIM when Windows starts'. Also, you may want to uncheck 'Automatically sign on when AIM starts' to make your life easier as well. Unfortunately there's so many versions of AIM including the new AIM Triton that these instructions may not be completely accurate. However, the option will be there to stop this, you may just need to poke around in the menus a little. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger/MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com All posts unless otherwise specified are (c) 2007 Jonathan Kay.
