Default computer restarts while doing normal tasks

-----Original Message-----
I have an emachines T1100 computer. It restarts or
crashes while I am doing normal tasks like microsoft word
processor, microsoft spreadsheet, paint, windows media
player, etc. I wonder if I need a program like norton
antivirus or mcafee quick clean? Or do I have to do
something with the computer like go to control panel?
.
Check for over heating, a faulty power supply unit, or

some component loose. Open control panel, administrative
tools, then open the Event Viewer to check for errors and
warnings under system or applications. And test the RAM as
well as add more if not at least 256 MB.
