Default Lost picture logo form Start Menu

Wow! don't know how I managed this . . . BUT the that
little (user definable) picture that appears by my name at
the top of the Start Menu, when it's opened has
disappeared. There is nothing to 'click' on either - not
even an empty space where it once was, only the name of
the owner of the machine (mine. I can't put it back or
replace it with something else. Anyone have any clues as
to how to retrieve?

Thanks
Terry

Terry,

Is the Welcome Screen enabled? Type regsvr32 shimgvw in RUN box and =
restart. If the problem persist, see if you have the user account =
pictures intact in this folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\User =
Account Pictures\Default Pictures

--=20

If this happened right after you joined a domain, then there is no problem. The display picture feuture is unavailable when you log onto a domain. If you are still part of a workgroup, or if the computer is standalone, then try the above solution.
