Greetings Chris,
You'll also need port 443 TCP (outgoing) available. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Windows MVP, Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "Chris" wrote in message ... I still cannot connect. What about the NT authentication
on all browsers with IIS? Will this effect the connection? What about Identd Simulation Service on Proxy servers? -----Original Message----- Greetings Chris, You'll also need port 443 TCP (outgoing) available. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Windows MVP, Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "Chris" wrote in message ... I really need step by step on how to accomplish this and I haven't seen any good websites that do. Any other suggestions? -----Original Message----- Hi Chris, I know it's not documented -- but that's it. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Windows MVP, Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "Chris" wrote in message ... Hi Chris,
NT authentication isn't required -- Messenger uses Passport, which is a multi-platform authentication model (not just Windows) -- identd isn't used either. What type of proxy are you using? ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Windows MVP, Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "Chris" wrote in message ...
