Autorun blocked on USB pen?
Avira AV tells me "autorun is blocked" every time I attach this particular
USB pen drive, not others. There is no autorun file on it, only video files. Not a major problem but am curious as to what's causing it. It's a 16GB Sandisk Cruzer Blade. Kenny Cargill |

Are you sure there isn't a hidden autorun.inf file in the root directory? This is common removable-media malware behavior. |

Autorun blocked on USB pen?
Thanks for the replies, solution was fairly simple when I realised how. In
Folder Options ticked "show hidden files" and sure enough there was an autorun.inf file which I deleted. Not sure where it came from but don't think it was suspicious. Not sure where it came from but don't think it was suspicious. It's in plain text, so you could have opened it in any app that can read text files. -- Char Jackson |
