Friend just got Windows 7 and still unfamiliar...I'm trying to assist but
only have XP.
Can someone advise..
1. How does he find the list of e-mails accounts he has. (in XP its
Tools/Accounts/Mail)?
2. How does he arrange to create a folder called, say, From ABD, and then
direct incoming e's from ABD to that folder?
Thanks, John

As Windows 7 does NOT come with any email client, you will have to ask
your friend what email client he has downloaded and installed for anyone
to answer.

Then it's the same AFAIK - Tools-Mail Accounts. (Or maybe
Tools-Options-Mail accounts) Has he not just LOOKED?

Again setting up a rule is the same. Tools-Message Rules (AFAIK).
All fairly easy to see and visible.

At the top right-hand side of the screen there is a drop-down box called 'Menus'.
Select 'Show menu bar'.
The Tools are there.

If the menu bar is not showing, look at the top right and there is an icon
like a piece of paper with a pen on it. Click on that and select Show menu
bar. Pressing Alt-M will also show the drop-down menu. Then he can go in and
check his accounts, very similar to Outlook Express.
Rules are set up the same way as OE, too (or at least similar enough to call
it the same way).

Yep, I thought that.
I did think that this n/g was to help punters, not everyone is pc savvy.
I myself would like to thank the posters who reply to these threads with
answers, and would say to tits who just use it to appear superior to ****
off.

Sorry mate, but I can't understand people who use a computer and do NOT
try to educate themselves about it.

Yes - we try to help people who have an intricate problem - but why the
f*ck should we help people who don't even try to help themselves?
You ought to lurk in the Windows 7 forums, then you might get a little
bit cynical.

To save the internet for us all! If the newbies don't get help, they'll
be running insecure systems with all sorts of bots and crap on open home
wireless networks. What percent of email is spam coming out of botnets?
Doesn't every DoS attack hurt everyone who needs to visit that site?

Bull****! There's some girl in the update group whose system is exhibiting
symptoms of a malware infection who has never run a firewall, and she's
proud of that, and swears she doesn't have a virus and refuses to run any
type of anti-spyware program. Then she wants to argue when her problem
can't be diagnosed. She can go screw herself. I never open emails from
people I don't know. If she infects the world of morons who buy a COMPUTER
only to check EMAIL and SHOP, I say ****'EM with a rusty spork! They
deserve everything they get!
