Here's a few ideas. The approach in the first one might work.

http://www.thewindowsclub.com/disabl...on-windows-8-1

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Win dows\Skydrive
DisableFileSync DWORD 1

http://www.howtogeek.com/167058/how-...n-windows-8.1/

Remove from the Explorer Side Panel

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\ {8E74D236-7F35-4720-B138-1FED0B85EA75}\ShellFolder
Attributes f080004d hex (default)
00000000 hex (remove Skydrive from Explorer side panel)

I checked using Powershell, to see if OneDrive appears
as an App, but it wasn't in the list.

Get-AppXProvisionedPackage -online

Get-AppXPackage

And typically, isn't there some sort of spreadsheet giving the
equivalent of GPEDIT on a non-Pro setup ?

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...190a24fa6=True

And there is a Policy Tree here.

http://gpsearch.azurewebsites.net/default.aspx?ref=1

A search for OneDrive gives this.

http://gpsearch.azurewebsites.net/de...px?ref=1#10895

Supported On At least Windows 8.1 or Windows RT 8.1

Registry Key HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Skydrive

Value DisableFileSync

Admx SkyDrive.admx

HTH,
Paul
