map/connect to XP admin share.

Default map/connect to XP admin share.

when I try to map a drive to the admin share on the xp
machine, it keep rejecting my user is and password.

From win2k pro machine, I type:

c:\net use z: \\xpmachine\c$

I am logged on as administrator on the win2k machine and
trying to connect to the XP machine.

Please help.

Default map/connect to XP admin share.

You need to set up a user account on the xp machine with the username and
password of the 2k machine and you have to disable the firewall in xp.

I suspect you need to enter your username as xpmachine\username
