Uninstall does not work
If you've converted to NTFS, there's no easy way to uninstall XP. You'd
need a program like Partition Magic by Power Quest to convert your system back to FAT32, but if you didn't select the option to save uninstall info when upgrading, then you won't be able to uninstall it anyway. Your best option would be to back up your data, format and re-install whichever operating system you want. If you were having problems with XP, it may have been related to doing the upgrade. XP runs much better when it's installed on a freshly formatted drive. You may want to try that before giving up on XP. -- Thanks, Mike "Waseem" wrote in message ... You need a third-party utility to do this. Partition Magic is the best-known such product, but there are other freeware/shareware alternatives. -- Ken Blake Please reply to the newsgroup |

When you converted to NTFS, you deleted the uninstall files back to your previous OS and you have no option to return other than a clean install of the original OS. When you convert to NTFS, there is a warring stating this will happen. Either you ignored it, or you didn't believe it. -- Michael Stevens MS-MVP XP http://michaelstevenstech.com For a better newsgroup experience.
