Default So what is the correct way to upgrade WLM???

Anyone any idea?

I received an email today telling me WLM was released, I have been using it
for three weeks now....

Thought I would download and install to see what version it was and it was
newer then my existing version, I am now at 8.0.0792.00

How should you become aware of updates? automatically of visit the WLM site?
I still think Microsoft have done a real crap job of releasing this product
which is leading to huge confusion.

If I go to www.Microsoft .com and type messenger in the search box I'll be
buggered if it leads me to WLM, what a mess!

Greetings Paul,

Messenger does have a notification feature for updated versions. However, the standard
policy is to wait several months before deploying it in order to make sure that the new
version works properly.

Indeed, we have been experiencing issues with the service this week causing people not to be
able to sign-in and/or not being able to see ANY of their contacts. Had the update been
notifying everyone, this would be a much bigger issue than it is.
